Israel’s Public Education Taskforce was founded by the Berl Katznelson Center, Givat Haviva – The Center for a Shared Society, and the IDEA Center for Liberal Democracy. The National Taskforce aims to advance a pluralistic, democratic and equal public education system in Israel, as one of the fundamental building blocks of a thriving democratic and Jewish state. Against two decades of weakening its democratic nature, we call to protect and re-anchor its commitment to values of equality, basic rights, pluralism, and tolerance, in accordance with the 1953 law.
